This is the full speech of Rt. Hon Friday Osanebi speech during the just concluded Ndokwa Talents Mega Concert at Kwale on the 28th of May, 2016.

It is important and imperative to note that the Deputy Speaker, supported the planning of the event financially and also came and spent hours with his people.

There the Deputy Speaker Promised to Celebrate Ndokwa Talents by December 2016 at his cost in another bigger Concert.

The Deputy Speaker also gave more cash gift at the event

THE NEED FOR NDOKWA LEADERS TO SUPPORT TALENTS DEVELOPMENT

Ndokwa Talents is yet set to re-orient the Ndokwa Youths and People.
Yes it is about time we'd hit Obiaruku town for the NDOKWA TALENTS PEACE CONCERT.

No doubt times are hard but then we must try all we can to keep the body and soul working.
We have been able to gather lots of Talents ready to join in the development and growth of Ndokwa Nation.
These are the real people that needs empowerment. This is the time Leaders of Ndokwa Nation should wake up to this call to save Ndokwa Talents .

Why Do Ndokwa Leaders mostly Ignore Talents Development.

This is not a question on empowering an artist who sings for you during election it is about the establishment of a Frame Work that can see to the true development of Talents in Ndokwa Nation.

Our Culture is going into extinction because we are neglecting who we are. but we must always remember that if you dont know where you are coming from you cannot know where you are going.

If the Talented people we have gathered are given maximum attention the world will here us in the next Five Years. The attention needed is not just a question of money individually but the ability of our Leaders to provided basic needs for Talents development in Ndokwa Nation. it does not take more than Five Million Naira to give Ndokwa Talents a world class ratting.

The Ndokwa Talents seeks for this very factors. we in our own little ways are working non stop to make sure that we re-orient our people into self discovery and discipline but the truth is that Our Leaders needs to do more.

Ndokwa Talents is an Organization designed for the overall development of Talents in Ndokwa Nation and Delta State at Large. Ndokwa Talents within four years of establishment have given birth to other ethnic Talents organization and also the Delta Talents which was also directly founded by the Ndokwa Talents.

Ndokwa Talents not being a Pressure group supports all leaders with the aim of attracting the cooperation of leaders with Talents to enhance speedy talents development.
It is however regrettable that despite the awareness and efforts of the organization, the Organization is still finding it difficult to run her activities.
Just like the last Concert at Kwale, only Rt. Hon Friday Osanebi, the Deputy Speaker of DTHA supported us and also came to the event and stayed for hours. if we had more of our leaders in that Concert the people and Talents would have benefited the more and our leaders would have seen the dear and urgent need for Talents development in Ndokwa Nation.

NDOKWA CULTURAL CONCERT

NDOKWA TRADITIONAL ENTERTAINMENT

WHAT IS CULTURE
Culture is the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people, defined by everything from language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts.
The Center for Advance Research on Language Acquisition goes a step further, defining culture as shared patterns of behaviors and interactions, cognitive constructs and understanding that are learned by socialization. Thus, it can be seen as the growth of a group identity fostered by social patterns unique to the group.
The word “culture” derives from a French terms, which in turn derives from the Latin “colere” which means to tend to the earth and grow, or cultivation and nurture. “It shares its etymology with a number of other words related to actively fostering growth”. Cristina De Rossi, an anthropologist at Barnet and Southgate College in London, told Live Science.
Many countries are largely populated by immigrants, and the culture is influenced by the many groups of people that now make up the country. This is also a part of growth. As the countries grow, so does its cultural diversity
NDOKWA TRADITIONAL ENTERTAINMENT.
Whether its celebratory, energizing, cathartic, funny, or just plain embarrassing, dance is one of the best art forms for expression. People gyrate in order to celebrate, commemorate or even to prepare for some spiritual exercises.
Historic and Traditional dance goes back hundreds and even thousands of years. Nigeria has the treasure of a variety of folk and tribal dances in regions across the country. The South South region which consists of various ethnic groups, have a list of traditional dances performed as a form of emotional expression, social interaction, or exercise, in a spiritual or performance setting, and these dances are sometimes used to express ideas or tell a story.
It is however notable that the people of Ndokwa in Delta State are noticeably endowed with various forms of traditional entertainments. This region being the most Hospitable adopted many people from other regions which made the Ndokwa people to have more different kinds of Traditional Entertainment.
It is regrettably clear that in the resent times these Traditional Entertainments are going into extinction either because of religious prejudice or Civilization. Our people no longer take part and see the beauty of the Ndokwa Traditional Entertainment, most Children don’t know the names of these dances not to talk of to know the dance steps and what they stood for. The Ndokwa people had all kinds of traditional entertainments that suits almost all occasion of life.
In trying to seek for solution to this ugly trend bedeviling the people of Ndokwa nation and the Preservation of their Cultural Heritage, NDOKWA TALENTS calls for the immediate REVIVAL and PRESERVATION of our Natural cum Cultural Values.
Consequently Ndokwa Talents is initiating and seeking the approval of all in creating the NDOKWA CULTURAL DAY. This day is to be set aside by the Ndokwa People to celebrate the oneness and Cultural values of the Ndokwa People.
In seeking for the best way to create the NDOKWA CULTURAL DAY, Ndokwa Talents is to organize what is called the NDOKWA CULTURAL CONCERT. This concert will hold in the three LGAs of Ndokwa nation. This concert is aimed at bringing back the awareness of the Ndokwa Cultures and Values and to set a pace for the speedy development of Talents and Culture in the area.
Projectionaly, the Concert will hold in each Local Government Area Secretariat and the finals shall be in a chosen Secretariat within Ndokwa nation. The Concert will feature the Ukele Dance, Egwu Amala, Egwu Igele, Adiko, Egwu Nmanwu, Ekeneke Walk and Dance, Egwu Ogene and many others. THE EGWU UKELE.

THE EGWU UKELE DANCE

The Egwu Ukele dance is a traditional entertainment of the Ndokwa People. This kind of traditional music is popularly occasioned as a reason of war and grievous happenings.
However many believes also that this kind of music is not only related to war but also played for one that conquered politically and otherwise. It means most likely that this music is done for high achievers of public interest.
The beat and forms also debits the intents of self-praise and bragging. This is the more likely reason it is used during Wars or when an important thing to the community happens.
The Ukele dance is played with mainly traditional instruments without the electronic instruments. It shows more of Africa and her Traditions.
It should be noted that some people have derived their own forms of traditional dances out of EGWU UKELE which has equally introduced a new form of highlife music in Ndokwa land. The Ukele dance music is played mainly on traditional instruments such as Conga, Agogo, Clips, Okpokolor, Iba, Ite, and Flute, However a popular artist from Ogume Umuchime family sang a song titled Oligbe Jim nachu which he introduced a new kind of instrument called Ubor, a native guitar. However a popular artist known as Obodouka equally transformed the Egwu UKELE to form his own kind of Music. However despite the changes that have been done to the Egwu UKELE dance by the introduction of strings instruments, the Original Egwu UKELE dance beat and instruments remains untouched.
As the Ukele Music goes on, every other persons with unique adventure will be showing to the admiration of the public watching. At this point Sorcery and Spiritual Powers are exhibited and shown to pride off others and this also associated the UKELE DANCE to what is known as Egwu Nmor. Ukele is played during festivals and other traditional ceremonies.
Also as the UKELE is playing, those who have made money and are sociable begin to give and buy everything around there for the common interest of the people present. This makes the UKELE Music to be seen as the Music of Blessing because every well to do Sons and Daughters of the land will always give to those who exercise unique Talents and Spiritual Powers. This also should have hosted its own form of a CARNIVAL but at a time because of the deaths and atrocities accrued to it as time went on the EGWU UKELE was abolished by many traditions.
Some traditional elites tried to retain this and fashion out a more proper way for the celebration of this Traditional Dance but was to no avail but only succeeded to keep the Music exclusively for traditional use.
It is then evident that the formation of the EGWU EKELE DANCE was for the good of the people, to show to foreigners what we have got. To reprove and also lay a kind of Powerful thoughts in the hearts of the visitors to see the Uniqueness and Strength of the Clan.
We must look for the best and possible way to revive the EGWU UKELE DANCE.
