TRIBUNAL: OSANEBI CONGRATULATES GOV. OKOWA ON VICTORY JUDGEMENT TODAY.

The member representing Ndokwa East State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his victory at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, describing the verdict of the tribunal as well-deserved and merited.

The tribunal verdict, delivered by its Chairman, Justice Belgore Suleman in its ruling today, dismissed the petition by the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Party, Chief Great Ogboru, challenging the Governor’s victory in the March 9 Governorship election.

In a statement today in Asaba, Osanebi said: “I heartily felicitate with my  leader, and the people’s Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, on his well-deserved victory at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal today,  20, September 2019, which is a resounding confirmation and affirmation of the choice of Deltans on the March  9th Governorship election, for a second term as Governor .”

He said: “The tribunal confirms our stance that Governor Okowa remains the preferred leader at this time, to deliver  a  stronger Delta State”.

Osanebi saluted the courage of the tribunal in upholding the mandate given by Deltans, noting, “It is refreshing that we have reached this threshold and I am confident that the verdict today  would help to  consolidate Governor Okowa’s  resolve for a stronger Delta State .”

“On behalf of the peace loving people of Ndokwa East State Constituency, I rejoice with the Project  Master and congratulate His Excellency, the Governor and our great party the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), on this landmark victory. Congratulations, Ekwueme”, Osanebi added with palpable enthusiasm.

CONSTITUENCY PROJECTS DEBATES AND MISCONCEPTIONS

The attention  of Distinguished senator Peter Onyeluka Nwaoboshi has been drawn to the raging controversy and discussions on social media on constituency  projects.  His sole concern is to set the records straight,  and by so doing correct wrong and mischievous  impressions  and innuendos peddled by those who lack genuine information on the subject.  

First,  the annual vote on constituency projects for a senator of Nigeria is not 700 million Naira.  Rather,  it used to be 200 million Naira  till 2017 when it fell to 125 million  Naira.  These are verifiable  and unimpeachable  facts.  

Second,  just like every other senator of the Federal  Republic of Nigeria,  senator Nwaoboshi do not award contracts or nominate contractors.  As a senator,  the law only allows him to domicile his constituency  projects with a federal government ministry or Agency of his preference.  The nominated Ministry or Agency is saddled with the responsibility  of costing the project, funding the project,  selecting consultant and contractor,  and executing the project through the selected contractor.  

Since senator Nwaoboshi assumed  office at the Red Chambers,  funds have been provided just once for constituency  projects;  and that was for 2015 budget funded in 2016. For the year in question,  (2015) 200 million was voted. The ministry of Niger  Delta Affairs was the vendor nominated by senator Nwaoboshi to carry out the construction  of the 2015 constituency projects.  The projects consist of two Skill Acquisition centres located in Ibusa and Kwale. The costing of the projects and the selection of  the consultant and contractor were done by the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.  Using it's costing methodology,  the Ministry decided that the voted funds can only errect the structure. Fencing and equipping  of the structures were not part of the contract.  The minister in charge is a strong APC stalwart, and can be freely accessed by members of the party for verification of facts so far submitted here.  

In the 2016 budget,  the sum of 200 million was again voted as constituency  projects for Delta north senatorial  district.  Since in their own determination  and costing the ministry of Niger Delta Affairs excluded fencing and equipping of the facilities in Ibusa  and Kwale, the 2016 vote was dedicated,  at the instruction of Senator Nwaoboshi,  to fencing and equipping  of both skill acquisition  facilities in Ibusa  and Kwale.  Unfortunately,  the ministry is yet to issue an award letter, even though we are presently in 2018, to the contractor for the commencement of  projects captured in 2016 budget.  This of course is not the making of senator Nwaoboshi.  We challenge  all who is interested in this matter to verify from the ministry of Niger Delta Affairs all claims so far made.  

In 2017, the constituency  projects vote fell to 125 million  Naira. This is also verifiable.  In order to achieve equity/equilibrum in projects distribution across the three federal constituencies which senator Nwaoboshi represents,  it was decided  that a similar skill acquisition  centre be sited in Ika,  Agbor precisely.  And if in the 2018 budget same figure as 2017 is maintained,  the vote will be allocated to the fencing and equipping of the facility in Agbor.  For the purpose of clarity,  let it be stated once again that the votes for 2016 and 2017 have not been released.  The 2018 budget is still at its embryonic  stage.  

As an experienced and seasoned politician and administrator,  senator Nwaoboshi fully understands the dangers of leaving any piece of propaganda  unattended to.  That is why we have diligently  laid the facts and figures bare before the public.  The challenge  is on all interested stakeholders to go to the ministry and the contractor (JAMAC Nig  Ltd)  for a crosscheck on all the claims made so far.  

Finally,  we want to state that any senator who relies solely on his annual constituency votes will not achieve much.  Senator Nwaoboshi represents nine Local Government Areas.  What manner of development will a paltry sum of 200 million  Naira bring to nine LGA's? That is why senator Nwaoboshi worked very hard at inception to have himself effectively embedded in the real power bloc at the National Assembly.  Having achieved that,  the latitude required in attracting projects is well within his reach.  Until he leaves the Senate,  Anioma  land will continue to witness a harvest  of projects.

Rt. Hon Friday Ossai Osanebi started from scratch as a Youth. He was mocked and was subjected to many ill treatment but as a young man, he continued and today he succeeded in bringing the Youths very close to governance.

In Ndokwa, Rt Hon Friday Ossai Osanebi started the official and tactical Youth's Advocacy and shot himself through focused agitations with the help of like minds and today he created an empire for the youths in Leadership.

Soon, his fame grew that his people called him to Represent them and immediately shot himself to become the Deputy Speaker, a position that even those that have been before him could not get to and complete successfully. 

He focused on Empowerment. These are empowerments that are in Millions because he knew his people lacked a lot of things mostly the youths seeing that majority of them cannot stand on their own, so he empowered them to be self employed and be able to at least feed themselves and family.

Osanebi went into Educational Scholarship and a lot of people and youths went back to School, the good thing is that he did not concentrate in bringing back to school those who dropped out but equally gave scholarships to those who are already in School so that they have no reasons to drop out in the first place.

Yes, he is just a Lawmaker and do not have the power to sign or carry out projects like the Executive Authority, but as much as he can he facilitated a lot of projects in Ndokwa through protest, pleading and body language. 

His goodness and pro activeness bought him great awareness and accolades from the people and his name have become a household name in the entire state that other tribes in the State begin to wish Osanebi was from their Province.

This unusual Youthful growth and power fetched him accusations, intimidations and hate from power that be, and in no time they began to sponsor a lot of strategies to slow and bring him down. There is nothing they did not do but in all God kept him standing and the name Osanebi have made in Ndokwa is everlasting and can never be erased. 

Osanebi had his mistakes and wrongs like every other human on earth but because of is popularity and greatness, most of the enemies tried to stand on his mistakes to present him as what he is not.

I Comrd Prince Kay Enuenwosu loved Osanebi and started supporting him from day one because as a youth I saw a youth that we all could grow from his stand. 

The truth is that Osanebi have risen to be the Most Popular, Most Performed and Most Loved in Ndokwa Nation. The moment there is a confirmed information about the coming of Osanebi to any place, a lot of people from all works of life gather to be there all expecting from him but there is no way he can reach all because he is but a man and not spirit and do not have all the funds to meet the expectations of all.

Seeing him here and there makes one to ask how much time this great leader got for his immediate family because on a daily basis you hear he is here and there doing this and that.

Osanebi have risen to a level that he can negotiate for Ndokwa and this is what the Stakeholders who don't want the growth of ndokwa knows and are scheming very hard to ensure they pluck him down using his people. 

2023 is one of the major reason the System is trying to humble this great Youthful Leader to ensure that he does not place demand because they want Ndokwa to remain playing the second class. 

Who can speak for Ndokwa in the system like Osanebi will do? Yes, there are people who can verbally speak but Politically Osanebi remains the Great Political Force that can stand for Ndokwa Nationally.

My Advice

How people should as a matter of urgency watch where all these things are leading to, the moment a political leader is growing to this level the System always found one way or the other to drop them and that is what is equally playing out which God will not allow, so we all from all part of Ndokwa should stand with our great leader. Forgive his mistakes and error even if any is personal for the sake of the height Osanebi can take Ndokwa to.

The MD. said that the health facility has been positioned with professional staff, and advanced technologies to provide efficient and effective health services to Deltans, most especially the people residing within the kingdom and it's environs.

However, she expressed gratitude to Amai Kingdom for securing the facilities that has been on ground before their arrival, describing the people as exceptionally hospitable and security conscious. "All medical equipments were intact on our arrival, unlike some other communities were we recorded vandals catered away with almost all the medical equipment before time."

The Resident Doctor and other staff in their individual remarks, extolled Amai Kingdom for their hospitality and patriotism, describing the community as a safe haven.

Hon.
